About Charlie Moon

Charlie (Charlotte) Moon began refining her craft in digital image editing and vector graphics software from a young age and later studied fashion design in Amsterdam, keeping her love for digital art alive.

Alongside her art, Charlie Moon founded an international business focused on social media and content creation. Using her skills in storytelling and digital platforms, she helps businesses and individuals create engaging content that connects with people worldwide.

Charlie Moon

Hello Charlie. When or how have you understood you wanted to become an artist?

I was born for this.

Can you briefly tell us about your technique and what drives you to make art?

I’m hypersensitive to shapes and colors. When I’m experiencing an emotion and close my eyes, I see shapes and colors related to the emotion. Sometimes I paint, sometimes I draw digitally, sometimes I prompt. Technique rooms in being intuitive. I am addicted to colors and shapes as I can go hard on them!

Charlie Moon

What is the main feature that has changed in your works or practice throughout the years?

I went from traditional painting to digital drawing and now I am into prompting. I LOVE technology and its developments!

Which artist primarily inspires your work? And is there something else, outside visual arts, that keeps you motivated?

I never get inspired by other artists. I get motivated by femininity, animals, and nature. And the power within humans. Mama-earth is my source. It sounds like a clichè, but it’s true.

How would you like people to engage with your work?

I want to offer people the same feeling I get from shapes and colors. It’s dopamine!

Charlie Moon Charlie Moon

Spread the word! Do you have anything exciting on the horizon?

I will sell NFTs via Foundation soon and start presenting my work in the first-ever virtual museum in the Metaverse.

5 NFT Artists of 2023 it is worth following

There are many NFT Artists of 2023 to mention, but as the year is ending, fellows of the NFT space look forward to a vast assortment of unique art from some of Web3’s most noteworthy creators.

The following is a selection of NFT artists we believe caused an impact in 2023.

These NFT Artists of 2023 are creators from disparate sectors of the NFT market to help readers diversify their social feeds over the next year, and each is a creator of culture that deserves to be recognized.

Cath Simard

Cath Simard is a Canadian-born photographer, digital artist and a central figure in the NFT community. One of the most prominent artists in NFT photography, she’s now almost entirely focused on NFTs.

Simard blends reality and imagination in her landscape composites. Collectors instantly recognize her aesthetic – surreal, cold, blue, mountain nights. Her innovative style and willingness to take bold risks are a result of her desire to be unique.

A self-professed introvert, Cath feels she produces her best work when she’s alone in the mountains.

To create a single image, she’s walked as much as 250 kilometers, trekked 18 days in the mountains and shot at an elevation as high as 5,900 meters. Due to her lengthy creative process, Cath only creates and releases 5-7 images a year.

She created the world’s first image to have its rights released after its 1/1 NFT sale on the blockchain: #freehawaiiphoto. As one of the top NFT artists in the world, Simard has continued to advocate for fair compensation and recognition for artists while also using her imaginative composite images to raise environmental awareness. Having been auctioned off by both Sotheby’s and Christie’s in 2022, she is surely poised to continue her admirable mission over the next year.

Daniel Isles (Dirty Robot)

Daniel Isles is a UK born illustrator based in Hokkaido, Japan. His preferred tools are pencil and ink, which allow him to create clean lines in a unique style.

He is deeply inspired by eastern and western cultures, that he combines to great effect to create highly original pieces. The focus of his work often depicts characters wearing interestingly-cool attire in moments of time. There is also a sense of spirituality about them and the world they inhabit.

He continues achieving sizeable sales throughout the entire year with his own 1/1s, making him a definite one to follow in 2023.

Emonee LaRussa

Emonee LaRussa, a 27-year-old digital artist from Sacramento, California, made visuals for Kanye West, Ty Dolla $ign, and the Internet. Today, her colorful, psychedelic animations are part of the GRAMMYS x OneOf NFT partnership.

You might recognize her from her YouTube channel, her Emmy Award-winning animation, or the excellent tutorial she did for some online MoGraph school. Emonee is also the founder and CEO of Pamanama Studios LLC., an animation studio specializing in music visuals by diverse digital artists, specifically artists of color.

Grant Yun

Grant Yun is a man of many hats.

Despite being a medical student by day and a break dancer by night, the Milwaukee resident has managed to make his mark on the digital art market with six-figure sales and auctions at Christie’s and Sotheby’s. His Neo-Precisionist artwork frequently explores landscapes and scenery native to the Midwest and has become instantly recognizable in the NFT space.

In 2022, Grant Yun emerged as somewhat of a poster child for fine art NFTs. While he insists that his entrance into the NFT space was somewhat of a leap of faith, his Neo-Precisionist style continues to stand out in the now PFP-saturated NFT market.

Markus Magnusson

In the same vein as Bad Robot, the 2022 PFP market would’ve been nothing without digital artist and animator Markus Magnusson. Known professionally as Motion Markus, his slick, clean animation style has garnered hundreds of thousands of fans across social media. Although his 1/1s consistently fetch a pretty penny, Magnusson is best known in the NFT space as the creator of the popular large-scale generative avatar collection Invisible Friends. With his new project Garbage Friends on the horizon, his sway within the PFP NFT market has only seemed to increase, prompting countless imitators to follow in his footsteps.

About Gizem Dogan

Gizem Dogan is a digital artist and visual designer who specializes in simulations and conceptual renderings. Her work and artistic style falls under the surreal, modern, and metaphysical. Her work has deep ties to outer space, the universe, and physics laws.

Gizem was born in Izmir, Turkey. She attended Istanbul Yildiz Technical University where she majored in Interactive Media Design. She has worked on a variety of projects including music videos and commercials. Gizem is also a successful artist in the NFT space, her art has been acquired by multiple collectors on SuperRare.

Gizem first met digital arts at 18 and participated in her first group exhibition within UNHCR in 2019.

She enjoys various art forms, including digital art and crypto art, and started this early on. Gizem particularly appreciates creating simulations with Houdini as she feels it allows her to express herself the most.

Curiosities about Gizem.

Cinema is one of her biggest passions, especially movies from her favorite directors such as Darren Aronofsky, Gaspar Noe, Tom Ford, Bong Joon Ho, Yorgos Lanthimo.

She loves food and will never eat for survival rather than for absolute pleasure as an authentic Turkish girl. She also loves the nordic lights and would like to travel to Norway or Iceland for some inspiration as she believes there is a correlation between those effects and the simulations she creates.

Her favorite artists are Bernini, Neri Oxman, Pigo Lin and Can Büyükberber.

As for the NFT ones, she likes Hexeract and Murat Pak, with a special eye for The unsold by Murat Pak.

Gizem and NFT Art.

She has recently been working nonstop on an NFT series for SuperRare.

Gizem’s approach to NFTs started in 2020, while she was already interested in the technology behind crypto and blockchain. After all, NFT is a combination of two of her favorite things: blockchain technology and digital art.

Gizem has just finished a 3 piece series Xibalba and is already working on her next project soon.

About

Steven Baltay is a 3D artist based in Seattle, WA. Baltay (aka, @realimposter) works in 3d renders, carrying the most visionary feeds on Instagram.

Steven Baltay

3D Animation Art

Steven’s 3D renderings attract viewers into a parallel universe of both  intriguing and disgusting images. Basically, he works with expressions of life forms that stimulate shock, repulsion, as well as pleasure. Another key point is the choice of colors to drag curious eyes looking for innovation into a whirlwind of emotions.

His 3D video loops are both enchanted and mystical in a way. They most probably come from his inner imagination and a challenging mastery of making animation loops.
Steven Baltay is inspired by the internet’s 3D animation; he boosts his initial thoughts mainly from Youtube and Instagram.

Steven Baltay’s Latest Work

His most recent trade signature is human-like heads with huge eyes popping out of their sockets, juxtaposed to a soft and supernatural pinkish background, and the 3D animation loops being the tipping point. Steven seems to enjoy immensely giving his creatures action and life – an enjoyment full of sarcasm and proficient technical skills.

NFT artworks

Steven Baltay’s NFT collections are on Nifty Gateway, SuperRare, OpenSea, with the Gluewave series or as @realimposter.

About  Michael Grill

Michael Grill is from Hampton Bays, New York, but lives in Vancouver, BC. As a kid, his mom constantly brought him Legos, model cars, painting, and coloring sets. So that’s why he probably owes his creativeness to her. He then fell in love with Graphic Design in high school. Despite this, he ends with a major at St. John’s University in Queens in Advertising & Marketing, which also happens to be his other occupation.

Michael designs posters, logos, and magazine pages for friends and family in his spare time as he believes that ‘if you’re not designing for yourself, then you’re not doing it right.’

He can’t live without music, which has hugely influenced his mood and creative process. He enjoys throwing on a the10 min deadmau5 strobe set, Heavy Metal, or his favorite rappers (Kid Cudi, Lloyd Banks, Waka Flocka, Gucci Mane, 50Cent & more).

He is on Rarible as @MIKΞGRILLMADΞIT

NFT Art

He approaches NFT art thanks to his friend Ryan Dargan, who has always been ahead of the tech times. He knows Michael always wanted to be an artist, and he saw this as the perfect opportunity to turn his hobby into some wise investment.

Today Michael’s favorite NFT artists are Slime Sunday and DotPigeon . He also loves Chemical Messiah. He also believes The Dirt god is a great artist and that his marketing tactics are beyond goos. He has shown me the way and has been such a supportive friend in the industry.

His style is very recognizable. He reveals it changed various times, while the most influential moment was when he lived in Rome for nearly one year. Statutes, biblical, and renaissance paintings shape his works, layering modern-day concepts with historical works of art.

Coming soon in Michael’s life is just more art. He indeed plans to keep creating so to turn his initial hobby into NFT art. Michael also aims to utilize his marketing experience to introduce collecting NFT Art and eventually help others find their own selling strategy.

Indeed, as he builds clients’ websites with unique marketing road maps, he wants to help artists find their target audience and develop a growth strategy. Michael also wants to collaborate with further musicians and animators to help bring his designs to the next level.

The artist he aims at collaborating with is Alotta Money for how much he finds similarities in their works. “You can never expect the same thing he wows me every time,” he says.

Michael Grill drops a new NFT every 2 – 3 weeks.

He just dropped an edition of 3 called “ STONΞD ” featuring a blunted Medusa with Gucci mane face tats and an Illuminati handler holding her head.
